Paintings for the walls you live with. Small things for the everyday rebellion. All of it is for the magic seekers—the ones who know extraordinary things can be found in the everyday.

Blotorch Betty

I am Blotorch Betty, the maker behind The Rusted Ember Studio. I work in a small cozy studio where heat hums low, colors linger in the air and time seems to slow just enough to notice things most people pass by. 

I’m drawn to the flow of color, to small moments of wonder and to the rusted, broken or forgotten pieces of the world- the ones with stories still tucked inside. I believe materials have memories and a spirit of their own. I am just here to help that story be told. Nothing is rushed or forced; each piece is gently guided into what it wants to become.

Through metal, pigment and intuition, I create jewelry and paintings that feel a little worn-in, a little magical, and full of soul.. Every piece is made by hand, shaped slowly and allowed to keep its own quirks and character. No two are ever the same- just like the moments that inspired them.
